Hardly Le Tour, but after earlier talks about 2011 summer, The Lunatic Journal are excited to hear about The Avenue Verte. The Avenue Verte is a planned Cycle route from London to Paris, which is roughly 240 miles (each way). According to this nice little BBC video, it took the rider four and a half days to complete, which when compared to a two and a half hour Eurostar ride for the same journey makes for quite a dedicated challenge…however… A) The Lunatic Journal love a good bike ride B) Recently read and loved this book C) Love discovering France …and therefore we think it would make a lovely week break in the summer…Perhaps see you there? PS and yes, we would get the Eurostar on the way back!
