The Lunatic Journal loved the first episode in Andrew Graham Dixons must see series ‘The Art of Germany’.
All the hallmarks of a Dixon art exploration were there - thought out (and spot on) analysis, fantastic new art and artists to discover, beautifully shot…all adding up to essential viewing. Those that missed it can (?) catch it here on iplayer.
After this excellent programme we stayed with BBC4 and their Germanic theme, for part one of Berlin…and what a difference! memo to the editor - throwing in dizzying shots of bad street art and tourist videos of speeded up night roads, does not make you edgy or hip…just annoying!
